About Rachael’s Ink

Rachael’s Ink was founded by me, (Rachael Sink) in 2017 shortly after she completed her master’s degree program at Southern New Hampshire University.

After discovering how social media can help a business grow, she began investing a lot of time in different theories and approaches to digital marketing platforms and outlets.

Today, I consult with my clients, helping you apply the inbound marketing methodology to your marketings efforts, which generate leads, align marketing across organizational departments, and optimize strategic growth.

I’m on the far left – next to my brother, Matt; my step-mother, Evan; she is holding our youngest, Piper; then our oldest Mackenzie; my dad, Mark; and my support, my rock, my husband, Kyle. It’s thanks to him that I have the groovy name play on my company name! 😉

Rachael’s Story

Surprisingly, my parents were both high school dropouts. My mom eventually earned an associate’s degree in nursing. Ultimately, setting the example of perseverance in the face of adversity.

My father has worked hard for a living as a general contractor, doing his best to provide for his family. Today, he’s a successful realtor’s agent who’s demonstrated that you can achieve anything if you work hard.

Hey! Thanks ‘rents for the setting the stage and why it pays off to have a solid work ethic!

As a teen, I ran head-on into some challenges, my parents said they would never pay for college, and they hadn’t set aside the funds to do so. I’d have to go it alone! How does a teen wrap their head around the thousands of dollars it takes to pay for college? This was an overwhelming concept for me in my teen years.

Feeling overwhelmed and defeated, at 16 years old, I ultimately dropped out of school. I was living on my own and providing for myself in ways other teens my age hadn’t even begun to think about. Going at it on my own meant that college wasn’t in my immediate future.

Something happened in fall of 2000. Something just clicked, and I realized if she did not take control of my life, it would never change. It was time to make the change I imagined that life could be.

In early 2001, I began my college journey at the Community College of Vermont. Then, in June 2017, I finally earned my Associate’s degree in Business Management; in 2012, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration at Johnson State College (now Northern Vermont University); finally, in 2017 I completed my Master’s in Communications and New Media Marketing.

It wasn’t long before I launched Rachael’s Ink in September 2017 as a side hustle. A year later, this was no longer a side gig, but a full-time endeavor, and now, here you are!

Why I Founded Rachael’s Ink

It became apparent to me that the inbound methodology is often replaced by content marketing instead of coupled with it strategically. The two go hand-in-hand, but isn’t the whole purpose of marketing online to get to your target audience? The inbound method is the process of using your content (social posts, blogs, videos, etc.) to get to your ideal customer at the right time with timely and relevant information.

The inbound methodology isn’t easier, and is often more time consuming, but don’t stop reading… it also is one of the most effective methods. You will find that you’ll need to apply some outbound marketing tactics as well, but the majority of your efforts are going to be to attract, engage, convert, and delight your customers using all of that awesome content you’ve created.

This isn’t just about sales enablement and supporting them, when companies choose to partner their marketing across the board they’ll experience success. Marketing in HR is an excellent example of interdepartmental collaboration. Marketing and HR can write the story of your company culture and provide HR with tactics so you can use inbound marketing to feed your talent team.

I have some ideas for ways to streamline your work and effort, if any of this sounds good to you, then book a meeting with me to get started. But, I’m not here for the sales pitch, I’m here for you!
